Seems like we have a few Quad fans here who might be interested in this.
The Who will be celebrated when its “The Who: Quadrophenia- Can You See The Real Me?” The Story Behind The Album premieres as a one-night in-theater event in the USA on Tuesday, July 24, at 8:00 p.m. local time nationwide. Beginning with a special welcome message from lead guitarist Pete Townshend, “The Who: Quadrophenia – Can You See the Real Me?” The Story Behind The Album event will give fans an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look into one of rock’s most influential bands and the creation of their celebrated album, “Quadrophenia,” originally released in October 1973.

Tickets for “The Who: Quadrophenia- Can You See The Real Me?” The Story Behind The Album are available at presenting theater box offices and online at http://www.FathomEvents.com. For a complete list of presenting theater locations and prices, please visit the website (theaters and participants may be subject to change).

The documentary takes fans on a riveting ride back to the 1970s when The Who’s creative musical genius was taking the world's music stage by storm. Packed with never-before-seen stories, including the onstage collapse of Moon during the tour’s first show, the evening will also feature additional performances of songs from “Quadrophenia” including chart topper “Love Reign O’er Me.”

In a four-and-a-half star (out of five) review, Rolling Stone’s David Fricke said: “‘Quadrophenia,’ released in 1973, was a superior tale with more-taut songwriting; it was grounded in [Pete] Townshend's memories of growing up angry, anguished and mod in the early Sixties, and produced with the panoramic tension of ‘Who’s Next.’”

Additionally, fans who attend the in-theater event may order the “Quadrophenia - Director’s Cut” box set with a free t-shirt at a special price of $99.98 for a limited time. The box features four CDs including two discs of original Pete Townshend demos, 5.1 audio DVD, a hardback book, 7” replica and much more. The special box set is available exclusively at http://canyousee.thewho.com.

Presented by NCM® Fathom Events, AEG Live and UMe, this event will be broadcast to nearly 500 select movie theaters across the country through NCM’s exclusive Digital Broadcast Network.
The link for Fathom Events has a list of theaters where the film will be shown and where you can order tickets.

I'm sure they will but I'm looking forward to seeing it in a theater. It was great checking out the Kilburn show that way a few years ago.

I'd like to see it in theaters too, but I don't think they are playing it in Spain, unless they are planning on screening it worldwide

Well, I'm shocked, pissed and happy all at the same time...

I figured there was zero chance of this playing locally and I wasn't going to drive to Philly on a Tuesday to watch this. Something made me click the "participating theaters" link and BAM - Harrisburg, PA

Tuesday evenings are bad for me (why I'm pissed), but I should be able to juggle the schedule a little

I was really surprised--and happy!--at how many locations are screening it. 3 here locally. I just have to decide which one. :D

The documentary is a great watch .It was on the BBC here in the UK over the weekend.A great insight into the writing, recording and touring of Quadrophenia. They're is some great footage I've not seen before. Pete is pretty scathing of Keith as a drummer , he actually states he "didn't think much of him as a drummer" . Definately worth catching if it's on at a theatre near you.

A Louisville date of the rumored Quad tour has been leaked - Expect more dates for the end of this year and early 2013.

The Who — as in the legendary English rock band, not the type Horton heard in a Seuss book — will perform at the KFC Yum Center on Feb. 16, 2013. Nice!

I always thought PJ would want to tour with The Who, a few double bills would sure sell tickets!

Hmmm.. Friday nights (if you assume 11/30 for the Chicago date). So NY on 11/9? MSG would be open by then.....

EDIT: Rangers home Nov 8, but then away until the 14th. Knicks schedule not announced yet.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

    Thoughts??

I enjoyed it, I expected a few more performances within the telling of the story, but all-in-all enjoyed it. I'm not exactly sure why everyone else in line buying tickets to other movies paid 9.50 and The Who movie was 12.50.
