Pearl Jam as the Wedding Singer?!

edited May 2006 in Given To Fly (live)
I am getting married to a fellow 10clubber in July. We hate typical sappy wedding music so we are saying to hell with that and we are playing what we like...Pearl Jam. Not all Pearl Jam of course I mean we are having aprox 200 guests of varying tastes but...

I was wondering if anyone else has played some Pearl Jam at their wedding or even danced their first dance to Pearl Jam.

We were thinking "long road" just because we love it but after hearing "come back" for the first time we just started dancing to it, and despite the sorrow in the song it's really full of heart and love.

Sounds a very good idea. If I ever got married, not likely I hope(!), then I would certainly have PJ played. I'd probably walk down the aisle to it too.

we had "Faithfull" play during our pre dinner cocktail hour. I remember getting a lot of "thumbs up" from my friends when this came on
  • Have any of you ever heard of the string quartet tribute PJ album? We are having a string quartet and I think it would be cool if we could find the sheet music to get them the play something from that.

I guess I've thought about this very topic myself and can't seem to get the vision of doing some sort of a waltz to 'Small Town'. I didn't end up doing this with my wife because she's not a PJ fan per say (I've gone to 3 shows so far while she stayed home!) but I've often wished that I danced 'Small Town' with my grandmother. That would have been the shit and would brought the house down. Consider this for someone who wished he had!!
I love to turn you on
