My buddy called me from the show,
sounds like they just royaly fucked it up.

    sounds like they just laid the fucking place on the floor with a Save It For Later tag ...

    mostly just the "don't run away part",
    but it sounded like Mike was ripping it up BIG TIME on the lead.

    His phone sucks asshole though, so?

    wow, eddie vedder made a mistake during a show? its the end of the world! i dont think i'll ever be able to look at pearl jam the same way again.

    it really wasnt a big deal and it gives the audience a talking point. i didnt mind.

    He started with the second verse.

    Funny that it was such and old song, that he has performed many times.

    I actually kinda like the f*ckups. It reminds me that it is a live show performed by humans. I'm actually looking forward to hearing it again on the boot. The crowd totally went with it and kept singing the second verse even though we all knew it was wrong.

    That's hilarious. Betterman must be about 25 years old, if Ed wrote it in high school.

    I remember one show where Ed started the show by singing the second verse of Release first.
    *Does not include encore of Garden and Leash.

    Actually I don't think he made any mistake. I thought what happened was the crowd started singing too early, because it looked to me like he was motioning (in a jovial manner like Bruce) people to be quiet. Then he says 'with your permission' and starts up. It was cute and funny.
