a written word to charm
a written word to make one feel whole again
a written thought to let someone know they are not alone
touching even just one soul, the reward
finding truth, and meaning,
leading to love through pain

the muse is a fickle bitch indeed.
a smiling whore who gives and takes.
pain for words,
words for pain.
my memories are my own
without them I'm not me

I shed this skin to ease myself of the pain,
the sorrow, and humiliation bestowed
by everyday life.
for some life can be heavy,
sometimes too heavy.
I purge demons with words to continue on.... and on.

I read words from kindred spirits
from across oceans, and across state lines.
I find beauty in them
I feel their pain
I relate
and sometimes that is all that is needed to carry on.

I respect each and every one.
Peace, Love.

  • loved this but especially this line 'the muse is a fickle bitch indeed.
a smiling whore who gives and takes.'
However, I see I associated the words 'Bitch' and 'Whore' with a female... which got me thinking.... This line does not indicate that your muse is female... And so I relate that my muse, indeed is a bitch and a whore, although, I associate my own with a male... Interesting isn't it? However, a bitch is defined as a female dog, however, I wonder what Webster says when used in the slang... I shall research that out of curiousity... And so this poem, did it's job, Inspired me to learn something new today...
