How could you say any show is a perfect show? There are bad setlists, fuck ups in songs, nights where Ed sounds off. You can't admit that some shows aren't perfect? And while sitting and watching this on a webcast you actually clapped? lol
you're missing the whole connection many of us have....the things you bring up give the show character, and make it memorable...provide great stories and laughter, 'remember that time...' etc.... Since just about no other band, if any, plays as many different songs during a tour, let alone from night to night, imperfection on a few songs isn't a big deal.
"Music, for me, was fucking heroin." eV (nothing Ed has said is more true for me personally than this quote)

Yes, PERFECTLY put
My friend Mike always says how Italy was his best time in Europe this June. The show didnt happen, sadly, but we had so much fun that day before the show at the festival site, and everything else in town was great. just being with friends and hangin out, feeling the love for this band, sharing stories and all. its the whole experience that counts and makes it special

Just the appreciation factor, I guess. I feel very privileged to be able to attend Pearl Jam concerts (affordability factor, geography, etc.), so I will appreciate each and every moment of each and every show with every grain of my being. Besides, if I've seen a perfect PJ show, I guess I wouldn't want to see any others because they would all pale by comparison. That's why to me, they are all perfect...the ambience, the nuances of every performance, the people around me in the crowd...
Yes, LBC at the Vancouver 05 concert was missing most of they lyrics, but so what. At the show, I enjoyed it for what it was...special moments are wonderful to witness...
And yeah, I don't know...clapping at a webcast...it just got to me, I guess.
