thanx for that. makes sense they were just roaming wild... an di guess i knew that. tis just i had this vision of modern cow breeds just roaming around in their pods. aurochs look a little different to what was in my head(as you can imagine)... but not for all breeds. i did read years ago that cows share a common ancestor with dolphins.
All mammals would have a common ancestor, eh :lol: , but looking at a mammalian phylogenetic tree shows that there is abundant merit in your statement about a near common ancestry between bovines or ruminants and dolphins/whales. The tree I looked at, however, does show that hippos and dolphins/whales are actually more closely related.

I know this is an old ass thread but let me get this straight... They're using something that hasn't been proven to exist to prove the existence of something else that hasn't been proven to exist. Alrighty then.

Although the text quoted seems to be pretty dumb for a textbook, the title is misleading. I couldn't gather that Nessie was used to debunk evolution from that. All it said was that Nessie could be a dinosaur, and in a separate quote stated that the book or school does not cover evolution. I couldn't make the jump to "Loch Ness Monster Used to Debunk Evolution."
The fact it had thirty-some students enrolled in the school at the time also tells you a little about the education of that school.
That being said I don't think its fair to make the claim that Christian schools use Loch Ness Monster as proof evolution is false.
