What those kids did to that poor lady is absolutely despicable.

I'd say not only their actions are despicable, but they themselves were too.

I'm looking at the parents as well, big time.

For all the stupid shit I said and did as a kid, I never was this vicious...just wasn't who I was.

But with all of te attention this is receiving and how much money people are donating to her... I am feeling less and less bad for her. This could be the best thing that has ever happened to her. How much is that donation fund up to? $500,000?

What they should do after the suspension is remove their bus rights for good...plus they need to be made to stand in front of their school with a sign that reads "I Am A Bully". None of this will happen because it might damage their self esteem... :fp: :fp:

She didn't ask for the donations (which frankly, I'm not sure what purpose the funds intend to serve but I find it touching how people are reaching out to her).

That's a shit load o blow. But I digress.. If this isn't evidence that our culture and society is regressing then I don't know what is. I mean hey I wasn't a great kid growing up and I did a lot od stupid shit,but I never acted like that towards my elders. I mean wtf ? That was just plain cruel. If those were one of my kids they would be at her house every Saturday mowing her lawn, raking leafs , or what ever she needed.

No kidding! When I was in 5th grade I broke a window at school playing soccer in the boys room and that little stunt got me something like 20 hours of window washing and yard work. If I'd done what these kids did I'd still be doing time with Windex and a rake.

A couple of weeks ago I was at a boat landing on the edisto river and while we were getting our canoes ready these kids were hanging out and drinking beer. And then some kid comes running down the side of this over pass/ bridge and barges right through us and tells us to " Get the fuck out of my way!!!" I was shocked :shock: this kid couldn't have been older than 16. And this was out in the boonies. He was some wanna be thug white kid with his pants hangin off his ass. Wtf? Man?

I never would have done that...just plain cruel...

But the problem with kids today is they are spoiled...

Hopefully some stiff punishment is handed out, I have my doubts though.

I have a feeling she'll do something worthwhile - philanthropic - with all of that.

Man, I'd hope so.

And given the amount donated, I'm floored yet again by how charitable some people can be (without it being imposed!).

Can someone explain to me how sending this lady money is helping her out in this situation?

I know it's nice for her to take a vacation, etc. But money doesn't just magically cure things and it seems that this is what we've become...something wrong? Here's a check! Feel better?

I get what you're saying - actually agree - and alluded to it earlier myself.

I guess sometimes people just want to help, show sympathy, and don't know any other way.
