at the same time you can't just steal from people who work hard because you don't want to be part of society. Its a weird deal - I would expect someone with that mentality to want to live off the land or something

I heard that in preproduction for the pilot episode of this show, before the damned sunglasses, the writers gave him a weird nose picking fetish, where he would flick his boogers over his shoulder very nonchalantly, with a crooked neck.
