had a forest talk to us
we are, it said
had a forest talk to us
it flew, it said
had a forest talk to us
oh the songs it sung

each and every flower coming out of the wood work
reaching trees edge touching with us
a flower patch or several with new bunnies
starting in spring season when some birds reach some midnight light moon schools where different shades of bird and flower trade ideas before the big show
you could hear every single drop of rain as if a flute or drum was coming home
you could hear with her the sounds of birds kissing
making nests
each breast flies like a balloon or banner above a small 4th of july town

here in central park lighted is the pond
frogs in their commity meeting this evening
tonight is the firefly show
sure is a busy place
a hot tea cup brings a smile to my face
her the agile song making silken quilts the air around her
and as a forest-garden of springtime feeds me
she has a leaf falling from canopy
not a bird nor song but dying to catch her

Pastoral - good description...and me too!

Especially the last verse (verse? I'm a novice when it comes to poetry lingo)...but it made me think of lounging on cool grass while the sun's going down, listening to Simon & Garfunkel...

    ...or maybe just Simon ;)

    thank you all of you

i think i'd like to add more lines
key words being... i think i'd like

what i may want to do may not ever take place but once in a million years
    i better be ready
    writing ready

    i better tackle properly
this is why one should write quite often using different colored inks
    green being my favorite
a nice turquoise river of words
a nicer bit of slow motion at a busy hospital
this the flowing bit of love & death
    painful as it is
the stitches in your head will get scabby
the shards of tiny glass under your flesh will embed themselves as mirrors for the sun
something like solar energy wired human-beings after millenia after millenia finally reach every mindstream ever thought up, birthed, collapsed, or never yet been a thought or action

Excellent, Chadwick! I wish now I hadn't lost the tea recipe I once made called "Earth Tea". It was mostly roots and bark. Would fit your poem perfectly.

Only that, among other things, it had wild cherry bark, cinnamon pieces (which is an inner bark) and dandelion root. If I ever run across the recipe I'll post it!
