Maple Leaf Gardens, looking for a great old picture

calling all leafs fans/ great photographers...

does anyone have a great picture of the old Maple Leaf Gardens? I'd really like a great picture to frame, im a big leafs fan and i think this would look awesome in the house...

I know you're looking for something to frame, but since you're interested in old photos of Maple Leaf Gardens there's a great picture book called "Portraits Of The Game" by Andrew Podnieks you should check out. It's a compilation of photographs by two gentlemen who photographed games there from the 20's through the 50's. I don't remember it having any photos of the Gardens from outside or anything, but lots of photos from the action inside.

i didn't see any good outside pics....i just google imaged maple leaf garden and set the size to large...take a gander, maybe you see something you like....

looks like an awesome place to see a game....shame all these old barns are gone.

yeah i did the same, cant find anything :( it really is a shame... the ACC is garbage for games and concerts.. just doesnt have the same feeling if that makes any sense? the worst part is they turned the gardens into a grocery store.. like really? i would have loved to see the MLSE keep it and have the marlies play there at least

nope ... big grocery store now and the upstairs is being used by Ryerson university ...

It says it was taken in 1973 "from a window on the 14th floor at Neil Wycik College, Toronto at Church and Gerrard looking north."
