It's June 12th 2012. And there is only one, and it's in Montana in September.

2 years and 3 months in between an arena show.

I really hope they tour the US proper next year..

    Talk about selective information.

And they toured Canada last year. And did PJ 20. Ed's toured and is again this year, playing a month in the U.S. and hitting Europe. PJ's about to play Europe again, too. This is what they've done since 2007. And several band members said after '03 and '06 they were unlikely to ever do big, full U.S. tours again. It's not about PJ. This is what they do and have done. It's about a few fans not facing reality.

It's been going on for a lot of parts of the country since 2003 not 2007, so almost 10 years, this past Sat was 9 years since their last "real" show in Texas. They want to go tour Canada and Europe, go ahead, my concert money will be spent elsewhere, I have faced reality and the reality is all the money have spent on Pearl Jam since 1991 is now being spent elsewhere.

But in between they toured A LOT (2000, 2003). Since 2007, they have played few and far between for the most part. I have seen all my shows in the last few years so I cannot complain, but things have definitely changed.

They were all preceded by big tours.. WORLD TOURS. In 06 they did another BIG tour.

    They don't do that now.

Even there world tour in 06 skipped the south. I think 03 was the last time they played most US areas.

They'll do a 10 date East Coast tour when they have an album to promote. Simple.

Europe had to wait 6 years for shows between 2000 and 2006.

Ian, not to sound like an ass... but...

Playing Overseas is a bit more of a commitment to being away from home and family then playing in your home country.

I would expect an American Band, to play America a lot more often. Especially for two years. And only 2 shows.

But that was my point in the 1st place - there has been years where they haven't toured the US much such as the years I mentioned. If they didn't tour the US when they have a new album out then I think you'd have something to complain about!

    Everyone is so dramatic.

If you REALLY need to see them this year you can.

I live in the northeast so im one of the spoiled ones but people act like the band should tour around them. They still play more shows a year than most bands. They're not Phish or DMB tour wise but most bands aren't.

It's a non album year they'll be back. relax.

No. No, they don't. I know of no other arena level band still active that refuses to play more than 10-15 US shows in a year. We got 13 headlining shows in 2009, 12 in 2010, 2 in 2011 (if you count PJ20), and 1 in 2012. That's ridiculously low for any major band.
    9/13/98, 10/4/00, 4/29/03, 6/29/03, 7/2/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 9/15/05, 9/16/05, 5/12/06, 5/13/06, 6/27/08, 6/28/08, 6/30/08, 10/30/09, 10/31/09, 5/15/10, 9/11/11, 9/12/11, 10/19/13, 10/21/13, 10/22/13, 10/25/13, 10/27/13, 9/26/15, 4/28/16, 4/29/16, 8/5/16, 8/7/16, 8/13/18, 9/2/18, 9/4/18, 9/26/21, 9/1/22, 9/2/22, 9/14/22, 9/18/23, 9/19/23, 9/7/24, 9/9/24, 9/12/24, 9/15/24, 9/17/24, 5/16/25, 5/18/25

They've always done things on their terms, 10-15 shows a time is what they are comfortable with. It's better than nothing, what's the alternative? They split up? Be grateful that they are still together after 20 years!
