Bonnaroo is having a pretty damn extensive webcast on YouTube, for all 3 days!! Just watched The Avett Brothers who were fantastic, looking forward to catching whomever I can on the times when I'm home this weekend! Schedule can be found on the YouTube link.

I love this new trend of festivals broadcasting live on YouTube... the Coachella coverage was excellent too. Getting to see Radiohead, one of my favorite bands, play live for free is a pretty excellent way to spend a Friday night when I was just going to be home anyway. I was at their show last week in Mansfield, MA... it was almost as great as this Bonnaroo set. Watching it here at home was almost as great as being there, and the beer is cheaper here.

Will we get such coverage from any of the three festivals Pearl Jam is playing, I wonder...

Today I had on Gary Clark Jr, Grouplove, City and Colour, now Kathleen Edwards, next Ben Folds Five, then maybe some of Bon Iver, then The Shins, then Phish, and lastly Alice Cooper... all while drinking coffee (later beer) and getting things done around the house... this is great!

Watching this is way better than shelling out the time and money to go all the way to TN and sweat my balls off with a bunch of smelly hipsters

i'm going to disagree. it is defiantly hard work to pull the weekend off, but it is worth the trip.

i think everyone should go once.

Fair enough. I guess I have a lower tolerance for oppressive heat and filthy hipsters than most. You couldn't pay me to Occupy Bonnaroo. Unless, of course, they built a 4 star hotel within walking distance of the cess-pool in Manchester.

:lol::lol::lol::lol: well done on occupy and cess pool

an RV is always an option, and they do have hotel packages with a shuttle to the venue.

and after 3 days, you don't really notice teh smell.

I could not had imagined coming in with all the traffic each day - and leaving (the hotelers). You HAVE to camp if you do Roo. It's part of the experience.

i agree. obviously being in, i didn't see the drive in traffic, but it couldn't have been all that bad if you assume most people are camping.

Probably not the best place to do it, since there are so many other acts to choose from, but maybe if more bands walked off stage when people were taking pics it would curb the cellphones in the air at every show you go to.
