I don't mean to offend anyone, a lot of what I say should be taken with a grain of salt... that said for most of you I'm a stranger on a computer on the other side of the world, don't give me that sort of power!

It would be illegal for the govt to do this, but not a private event.

  • This is a topic of discussion on the GNR board I go to, and there is actually no evidence that Axl made this order

According to people at the shows, a more likely scenario is the venue / promoters doing this for fear of an altercation. Now whether or not is a legit fear or not remains to be seen, but just because Axl is an easy target doesn't make it so

IF this is true, I'd blame the venue, not Axl. People like Axl are going to make all kinds of crazy demands probably, it's up to the more reasonable minds to draw a line or try and make the "talent" understand what can or can't be done. You tell Axl "security has their hands full keeping you and your fans safe, they can't be the fashion police too". And maybe explain that it's not their job to tell people what not to wear.

I guess what I'm saying is that I'm not surprised Axl would make such a demand, but I am surprised the arena would enable him in this way and enforce his stupid little dress code.

Yeah, this...usually it's the venue's doing out of fear Axl might react badly, not that he actually ordered it.

That's the enigma with this guy. In his press releases he sounds rational, mature, and composed. Then his actions are always the complete opposite of what you would expect from the way he sounds through the press.

Axl and Slash are both pricks. Axl became dillusional and Slash turned into a dork playing guitar with every pop act at the MTV awards and the Superbowl. I wouldnt be surprised if theres a Slash/NSYNC tour in 2013.

I hope the original lineup never reunites. It would be too embarassing.

Wow...the "Axl Rose band" has become a Vegas lounge act. How sad. I'm glad the other guys have found other outlets to continue on and put the tragedy of what was once a great band behind them.

The more this circus descends into madness, the more I grow to massively respect Duff for leaving the crazy train well and truly behind and turning into a really great guy.

Sounds like Izzy is much like that. He got out before it got extremely crazy.

But yeah, Duff has, it seems, to have really turned his life around. Saw a clip of a young Duff on "That Metal Show" last year and he was really out of it. Duff watched that clip and was astounded.

I'm sorry but fuck him I'll where that Slash shirt if I want. 8-)

Actually if you think about it must be a way to boost Axel's sagging t-shirt sales since they must have to remove a fan's Slash tshirt. This is desparate and sad.
