Re-acquainted myself with this band over the past few days after emptying a box of music that had been in storage.
Mark Kozelek's voice and the simplicity of the guitar still makes me shiver.

    I saw The Red House Painters in Seattle.A woman in the audience persistently tapped her feet and clapped.Mark asked her to be quiet a number of times,she told him she was appreciating because she loved him.She wouldn't leave as she had paid $20.He handed her $20 and had her escorted out the building.

    He takes no prisoners when he plays.
