Solar heated water.

I can't get in my small back yard at the moment because it's full of stuff, so I'm sitting in the house, feeling probably a little more excited than I should do because hubby has nearly finished installing solar tubes to heat our hot water. I've even been up and looked at the little temperature gauge that tells us what temperature the water coming in is at.
Has anyone else got solar water heating on the go?

Getting quite a bit at the mo. Hopefully it should keep us in hot water the majority of the year except on very dark days and then we've got the back up of the normal system.
Well to be honest because Mr Ack put it in himself we saved a lot of money. Now the only gas we'll use for 1/2 the year is the cooker, if it's cold we can put on the fire and a jumper
Now if we can just find a good deal on some cheap vegetable oil, we can't start running the car on that again.
Life is good today
i looked at solar stuff once, and it seemed like everything had a 10 year payback. ouch
