Bigsby Vibrato Proficiency

I always wanted a guitar with a Bigsby vibrato, and a couple months ago I finally got one. I use the guitar a lot, but rarely touch the arm. When I do, I don't really know what I'm doing and am just experimenting.

Do you guys have any tips or exercises which I can use to increase my proficiency with this feature? I hate to let the thing remain unused.

just practice a lot with it. that's the best advice i can give you. you obviously won't want to use it on every song you play, but it's a great feature to have on your guitar!

Thanks, I guess I'm just getting impatient with it.
  • watch some hendrix videos?
    ;)
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?
  • Something like this:

    jiggle jiggle jiggle.
    jiggle jiggle jiggle.

You find that Bigsby stays in tune, or not?

I just gotta keep on jigglin' it!

I've only really had issues with one string becoming detuned when I play with the Bigsby a lot. I'm probably going to replace the Adjusto-Matic bridge with a Bigsby rocker bridge, as has been suggested in these parts.
