That's why real PJ fans don't wear socks. I have a nasty sandle sunburn from today to prove it.
  • not the ones who already lost their socks at the vic that's for sure.

not sure where to post this but the sound was not great for PJ. We were on the hill on the side which seemed far I admit but MMJ came in loud and clear. PJ was muddy for at least the first hour and then I just stopped paying attention to it. Also they weren't as loud as any other act on that stage. Really weird. I'm sure the people in the front were fine but I'm wondering how many folks behind us were not impressed because of the sound. We were still probably the front 1/3 of the audience.

I was so impressed all weekend by the sound at Lolla, except for PJ. I have a feeling it was a sound guy turf war of some such.

unsubstantiated report says 150,000 people stayed for pearl jam

if hard core fans were 30k (who knows how many we are, but i think we're greater in number than we realize) that's leaves an awful lot of very impressed peeps.

    Let's see...

by estimate, there were 165,000 people watching the show.

    I'd say 100,000.

    At least.

If you use Google earth to measure, the field was about a tenth of a mile wide and a quarter of a mile long. And by all accounts, it was pretty packed. There were people beyond the reach of my vision. There could've been that many...
