    my daughter just returned from the research center in the Bahamas

    I heard her many times of late say the same thing! She loves sea turtles :D

    I saw a tiny painted turtle crossing a busy road by my work on Monday.
    I took the next turnoff, spun around, threw on the lights on top of the work truck and hopped out into traffic.
    Scooped the little dude up and ran him down to the lake! Catastrophe adverted! :D

    Unlost dogs - I do the same thing. We live in the sticks and at least a couple times a season we see one either in the road or about to cross. I've saved a few big ones. They pee on you though, when you pick them up, probably as a defense mechanism. And be careful - those necks can go back pretty far if they want to bite.

    Turtles do rock! Swimming with turtles when diving and snorkeling in Hawaii was one of the highlights of my trip.
