A very, very close family friend passed away last night. Someone I admired and respected. The world is a lesser place as a result. He was someone who could explain the most complex and simple things so that you could understand the complexities of the subject and know what he was talking about, whether the effects of global climate change or his house by the ocean in Nova Scotia. He cared and I'll miss him.
