My buddy & I got a room with two queen size beds at the Hampton Inn on Race street for $140 / night through Hotels.com (this was a few weeks ago though) That's a pretty good deal (way cheaper than staying in downtown Boston) and a friend from Philly told me we will be in a pretty good location for the show; I can't wait.

I also told him, I hope no good bands / acts play before 5 or 6, I want to see some of the city while we are down there. I don't want to be going to the show at 1:00 either days. (hopefully hit up Geno's, maybe see the Liberty Bell)

Like others, I'm really pulling for a Saturday night show because I'm going to see Bruce on Sunday. I'm probably asking for too much but a guest appearance by Eddie at Bruce's show would be pretty awesome.

I thought most festivals announce their schedules the same time they announce the lineup about 6 months in advance... :?

I'm going to Midtown Music in Atlanta and Firefly Festival in Delaware and they both have had their schedules set and anounced for a long time now.

how long has it been since we've heard any new info? No announcements about additional bands. And last time I checked, they were still selling "earlybird", limited quantity tickets for $135 - seems like sales are slow, four levels of ticket prices, only one has sold out.

Maybe Jay-Z isn't going to be able to pull it off, maybe he tried to get rock bands on the bill that would sell tickets and could only get PJ to commit? Time is running out. maybe I am wrong?

It just seemed like a huge announcement, hurrry up and get tickets, this is going to be huge, more acts to be annuonced real soon, don't want to miss out, blah, blah......and then........nothing. nothing for what, 6 weeks? Not even an update or a small tease of anything.

The Made in America Facebook page is posting 3 or 4 times a week of performances and videos from artists who will be at the fest. Most recently was like 2 days ago they posted De'Angelo playing live at the BET awards (don't act like that doesn't get you super fucking excited)

so i think we are all good - conspiracy denied :nono:

I'm not too surprised that ticket sales are slow. Philly is traditionally a ghost town on Labor Day weekend and with Springsteen playing Citizens Bank Park that Sunday as well, I can see why they're only on the 2nd price level.

how long has it been since we've heard any new info?

Not even an update or a small tease of anything.[/quote]

metallicas festival was the same way with ticket sales they still drew over 30,000 each day..and rumor is that more acts might be announced tomorrow..

Made in America so they make an announcement on 4th of July- makes sense to me.
