    If they lowered the shipping charge, I'd buy it. $30. is just way too much for shipping IMO!!!

    I did see somewhere that a former drummer was letting some stuff go, but i think this would be too late in the career for him to have. Bit mysterious eh?

    i think i got little league trophies when i was a kid that were better quality than this AMA award. the AMA's were always so prestigious after all.

    A definite fake, google the award and you will see it has a very different engraved face plate unlike this cheap knock off!!
    ...and now i rub my eyes, for he has returned
    seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned
    for he still smiles...
    and he's still strong
    nothing's changed, but the surrounding bullshit that has grown
    and now he's home
    and we're laughing like we always did

    It looks like there's no plate on the real ones. All the info is etched into the bottom of the clear part. There should also be an AMA logo on the bottom in gold.

    Real. Face plates were attached to the black base of the award after the ceremony.

    The telecasts I believe are in January (in this case, of 1996) and would be giving awards to releases from December 1994 through September 1995. Vitalogy being released in December of 1994 would offer credence to the drummer theory already suggested.

    Also, read the "About Us" section of the auction.
