I picked up Yield on vinyl yesterday at a record store. I listened to it today. All I can say is vinyl blows away the cd version. Something about the sounds blending. Now I'm hooked on vinyl. Oh well, what's a thousand dollars here or there?

I happened on a nice CD copy of Yield today for a couple bucks.  I agree, it sounds better on vinyl,  but the CD is fine for when on the go.

So anyway, I slipped it into the CD player while I was driving around getting my Friday chores done and realized I hadn't listened to this album in some time.  There are a few songs that don't work so well for me but the great ones are GREAT!  When I don't hear them for a while, I  get that thrill of excitement for this amazing music all over again.  Yield may well be the pinnacle of Pearl Jam's achievements- certainly some of their best work!
