Right folks, Isle of Wight is not that far away now and i'm sure people are starting to get their plans for the weekend in motion.

It would be a great idea if we had a 'PJ camp' in the campsite at the festival. PJ fans setting up their tents together, strumming PJ tunes on the guitar, sharing some beers etc would bring a awesome vibe to the weekend.

Sooo, if you're going to the festival and want to see some friendly faces (or at least recognisable sabotage t-shirts!) then sign up here!!!! We might need a huge banner so the PJ camp is easily spotted amongst the crowds.

Hello! My name is Ross and I'm a PearlJamaholic. I've been a member off and on for a while now, but not been to see PJ since Cardiff in 2000. I'm going to Manchester 1 with my wife, before heading down South for the festival with my brother-in-law (who sadly isn't as obsessive as me, but he does quite like PJ. I'm hoping the Saturday will make him see the light and decorate his house in Bootleg sleeves).

My wristbands turned up today, so I'm now giddy with excitement!

I'm in, and Trudi (wolfswell) too. Wristbands turned up today. Pretty excited (though bummed that we've decided we can't afford to go to Manch...)

I've got 2 - TWO!!! - exams on the Friday morning, so I'll probably only get there just in time for Tom, but I think Trudi's going to go on Thursday to get a good tent spot. Anyone else going on Thursday? Don't want her to be lonely... :(

By the way, Pin, I wore my shirt for the first time this week, & I love it. Thanks!

    Here's the very snazzy wristbands:

    photo1bz.jpg

There seems to be a chip in the clasp, I assume its to stop more than one person using it.

Unfortunately I can't get there till the friday. I'm booked on the hovercraft for 13:00. It only takes 10 mins but then got to get the bus to the site.

Two exams on the same day....that´s harsh

Yup, me and mine are coming Thursday night, very late tho...so hope she has a spot ready ;)

We have to pick up our wristbands at the box office on Friday as they don´t send´em out of UK. Hope that won't be a problem regarding the camp....only have a receipt/letter for 5 camping/festival tickets.

Glad you like the tee :D

why o why couldnt glasto be on this year ................lovely bands those love the colour but they DO have a chip in dam do they only get you into the camping bit or do they get you into the arena as well ? :D
  • HarpsyHarpsy Posts: 83
That and a map are all they sent, so they'd better get us into the arena!! :D

Other then the obvious, who're you guys looking forward to seeing? I'm a pretty big fan of Black Stone Cherry, so really looking forward to them and to get into the mood I've been listening to Springsteen's latest album, which I really like so hopefully that'll be a top show!

Saw them for the first time when they opened for Alter Bridge, then got tickets their own show but had to miss it as I was in hospital and now will be seeing them at HRC. Love the band!
