My wife bought me a Project debut iii last year. I intend to pair it with a Project tube amp (unless anyone disagrees?). That leaves speakers... Who makes the studio speakers with white cones I always see? Not that I am sure what I will get but pointers appreciated! Ta

You have a good eye.
So you've noticed the ubiquitous "white cone" phenomenon.
lols.
Yamaha NS 10.
Gonna run you about 500-600 for a USED pair.
I been wantin' some for so long, i don't even have a use for them anymore.
If I opened it now would you not understand?
What are you doing with that record player?
If you are just PLAYING records,
you should probably look in to a good pair of NORMAL speakers,
and NOT a "studio"\"nearfield" "monitor" pair of speakers.
Those Yahamaha NS10s ARE nearfield monitors and, unless you are intending to use them to judge the quality of mixes, you would most certainly NOT want to use them.
In other words, if you are going to be recording new music,
you MIGHT want a pair of nearfields.
If you are only playing back someone else's professionally mixed\recorded music,
you would NOT NOT NOT want them.
Unless you wanted to get in to the business of being a critic of record production \ audio engineering.
:P

Will be setting up for vinyl only. So turntable, amp (valve) and speakers. Note room would be 12 foot by 8 or so. Study set up.
Gettting prettey excited... vinyl has been in storag/parents for a while and quite a few cellophane wraps to tear off...
