Obama conspiracy people remind me a lot of those doomsday preppers. The preppers all believe the world is going to end soon, but they have 4,736 theories on what will cause it. How are we supposed to take them seriously if they can't even come to a consensus of what will happen?

Obama-spiracy people are the same... He either is a follower of a radical christian pastor, or a muslim... he's either the Kenyan born son of a marxist radical, or now his father maybe an American born communist figure.

It's amazing how much crap they throw against the wall, hoping that some of it will stick.

For me - even if he was foreign born, he "was" still President for the last 3 or 4 years. This debate is stupid and not going to change anything - in my opinion.
Here's a new demo called "in the fire":

I suppose one could take away from it that it makes him a bit of a liar.

but as I have said before, it should be like 504th on the list of things we should worry about as a country

For a group of people that freaked out over every drunken word ever said by GWB and how his college transcript proved he was an idiot, you all are amazingly uncurious about the current president and dismissing as you are told by the mainstream anything and everything that is critical of him.

    To further explain:

    A. A company attempting to sell a young Barack Obama as a speaker in 1991 produced material stating he was Born in Kenya (whether this is true or just part of an Elizabeth Warren like lie to make himself more exotic is up for debate) and that this "mistake" stayed apart of BHO bio for 16 years and was only taken down 2 weeks after he announced his presidential run in 2007.

2c. Adimittedly the worst and silliest of the 3 links but still disturbing in the fact that Frank Marshall Davis was in Hawaii at the time and had some sort of relationship with Ms. Dunham (naked hippie photos eww) and only given any sense of possibilty because BHO has been caught lieing about so much of his history.

III. Rev. Wright sits down for an interview and in his own words recounts private meetings with BHO in 2007 asking him to take 150k and not do any public speaking for the rest of the year and states he has proof in the form of emails. He repeats Louis Farakhan's he was SELECTED before he was ELECTED comment and destroys the whole family image of church going saying essentially they were just there for politcal gain and were not really big on the church thing.

Some of this crap will inevitably stick because shit happens and it stinks, even if the mainstream decides to plug their noses and tell everyone it smells like peaches and sunshine.

first off, I didn't care one iota about Bush's background. But as a president I don't believe he did a good job. and is all Obama should be judged on. We don't get to go back to jan of 2009 again and start over.
All I care about is to what end does this take us? what is the end? he gets taken out of office? ooooohhhhh yeah what a success. Everything will be better. Like I said, the birth issue is about 504th on the list...and to be honest, whoever the president turns out to be in 2012 and beyond is about 12th on the list. Getting our monetary and fiscal house in order is the most important thing right now, and I am afraid that whoever the dems and reps pick to be president won't do a damn thing to change the course we are on. So forgive me if I don't put too much effort and energy into figuring out if Obama was born in kenya or not...his mom is American and that is enough for me to consider him a citizen. the actual ground he touched first is irrelevant. The only thing it would do at this point is prove him to be what I already think of him, a sneaky, manipulative game player who really doesn't care what he says and does as long as it keeps him in power...that changes nothing in my mind.

fair enough, you seem to already get the point lets talk more about the FED, inflation, jobs saved/lost, or how we pull ourselves and possibly the entire world back from the economic abyss. Any of those would be great threads to start.

See, it actually is relevant via the law in the constitution listing the qualifications to be president. I think he was born here, in the U.S. but the whole argument of where he was born gets so old. There has been plenty of time to dig for the evidence against him. So, we best discuss other topics until there is actually some legitimate proof against him, if you know what I mean. Otherwise it's just a back and forth shit show.

jus sanguinis v. Jus soli ... there is no constitutional definition of natural born citizen.

"No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."

basically, if you are a citizen at birth you are eligible to be president as far as I can tell, at least that is my understanding.

Much of your summation sounds right to me, Mike. I'm glad to know someone else out there believes that who ever is or isn't elected president isn't our number one issue. And as much as I agree that getting our monetary and fiscal house in order is important I still believe that time will show that dealing with peak oil and environmental issues will prove to be our biggest challenges. That these are seldom being talked about by our leaders boggles my mind.
