I haven't read comic books since I was a young kid...is it very apparent that other superheros are hetero?
I don't remember it ever coming up, but then again I was young and more focused on them catching the bad guys then any of their extra-curricular activities.
The only Green Lantern that would be considered "major" is Hey-I-have-a-movie-and-several-animated-appearances-and-I'm-in-the-Justice-...League/Super-Friends Hal Jordan version of the character and he's straight.
DC publishes THREE Green Lantern titles a month, each with a different Green Lantern and they can't even make one of them gay? Instead they choose to use a character who shares nothing more than a name & identity with the historical Golden Age Green Lantern, so there's not even a ret-con of the characters's history. "Don't worry, fanboys, the classic Golden Age Green Lantern is still all about the ladeez."
• Yes. Green Lantern in the alternate universe Earth 2 is gay. And... kinda hot. I volunteer Jason Statham to play him in the movie and me to be his boyfriend.
