STP to play Core in it's entirety

I got the latest Rolling Stone mag and there was a small "article" about STP playing Core in it's entirety on 9/1 in Hershey, PA for their 20th anniversary of the album. I would go to this but looks like it's a festival w/ other bands i could care less about. Looks like other dates will follow.

Also says "I think it will be really fun, because the one thing that I get tired of was playing the same hits every night". I think this is great. One reason i haven't seen them recently is pretty much because that was all they played were the "hits".

Possible working on a new album for next year as well

Core is pretty much my least favorite album of theirs. Well, the last one is pretty bad, but I tend to forget about that one completely.

I would love to hear Tiny Music in its entirety.

It's still cool though that they are playing it.
    Peace, Love.

tired of Core for the most part...they play most of those songs at every concert anyway so why is he saying he is excited about it cuz theyre tired of playing hits? every song on core was a hit for the most part....like others have said i want to hear Purple

i would love to see Purple or Tiny Music in their entirety.

a possible new album is good news. i've not listened to these guys much over the past decade but i still think they're very capable of writing an incredible album. i still hold out a little hope for that

Well, I'm sure that's great news for a hardcore STP fan. After all, I can't imagine how people would freak out around here if any album were played in its entirety by Pearl Jam.

As for many songs off Core being hits, the same can be said for Ten (in fact more so) but I doubt anybody would turn down Ten in its entirety.

I just checked and the last time I saw STP they played eight of the twelve songs on Core. That kind of detracts from the specialness of this event. But I guess it'll be all in order, so that's gotta count for something...

I'm happy that Pearl Jam does not do albums straight through in order. I enjoyed seeing MMJ do this a few times but it really takes the uniqueness away from the show, and honestly seems a little corny. I loved Core back in the day, but have seen every song off the album except 1 or 2 multiple times.

A Perfect Circle did 3 shows per city a few years ago (not in that many cities) and played an album a night. I think that's pretty cool.

i saw STP in New Orleans back in 2000....was at some small building...held like 2,000 people...was an incredible show....wasnt too thrilled with their last album...."Purple" was their best......"No. 4" was a bit underrated
