I don't understand... why do the girl scouts have to answer to the church? Am I missing something?
they don't....but the article impies that 25% of girl scouts are catholics and the parents of these kids could listen to the church if the church says girls scouts are the devils work, resulting in a mass exodous. this of course would obviously hurt the girl scouts business leaders.
i can't find the most recent number for the girl scout ceo, but i have seen 200K plus, with one number from 2004 just under 400K for total compenstation.

Thanks for the info... the world is such a bizarre place. I fully plan to enrol my daughter in girl guides when she older (Canada's equivalent to girl scouts)... especially now that I've read this!
It seems to me that the Catholic Church has bigger problems (e.g. priest sex abuse) than the Girl Scouts. I think the church needs to rethink their priorities.

I just don't get it. Is it because they are girls? And that they have no use for them?
(waiting for lightning bolt in 1,2....)
