Just started listening to this album today, not all the way through yet. Liking it so far.
The woman's voice sounds so similar to Lisa Hannigan on a few of the songs to me.

Yeah, I am jumping all over this indie folk band wagon. I like this song (though overplayed on radio), I like the Lumineers and The Head and the Heart. But mostly I am digging Mumford and Sons deep cuts (again radio songs over played). But, yeah these guys are good and are from Iceland which is cool.

Don't know how much the Chicago show but the Dallas and Austin shows come out to over $40. That seems like a lot for a band with just one album. Is that the going rate for bands like these now? Alabama Shakes are also charging $40 for the show here, which is why I'm not going. I'd like to check them out, I'm just not sure if it's worth the price. With only one album how long can they really play?

If the money is not an issue for you, I'm telling ya, you gotta go! Their live show was incredibly dynamic and better than I expected. They obviously didn't play for incredibly long, but it was quality.

I can't stand this band or the female singer. Her voice just annoys me and that song, fuck, enough already with it! Just my opinion.

With all the bullshit charges, tix ended up being like $43 each. A little steep, but it should be a good show.
  • I saw these guys last night in Birmingham UK and they were incredible! Definitely worth the every penny paying to see them!
Hope a second album isn't going to be a few years away!
  • Got to see tonight's show at Revel in Atlantic City. Picked up tix on stubHub for $9!

The social hall holds around 1000 people and there could not have been more than 300 people there.

It was definitely a reflection of the venue...not the band. They were very good, but a big too sleepy for me.

I am looking forward to a deeper catalog out of them because they have some very catchy tunes.

I really enjoyed "lake house" and "six weeks" along with their popular songs.

Wow. Shocked you got tix for that cheap and the venue was so empty. That place must be a dump. They sold out the Aragon in Chicago a couple weeks ago and that holds like 4K.

Definitely agree with looking forward to when they have a deeper catalog to play.

The Revel is not a dump! I just think people dont know about the venues at the casino or dont want to travel "out there". One of the nicest casinos I have ever seen...they only spent about $2b there. The place is struggling but is too big to fail and is completely subsidized by the state. Lets leave the economics out of it... Lets just say that it's the second nicest casino in AC

Ohhh. Gotcha. I thought you were trying to say that it was a small crowd because the venue sucked.
  • The show was at the Social. The pic on the site shows tables. They actually take them out for concerts. Standing room... the place has to hold around 800-1000 people.

It was a third filled and I felt bad for the band. They cut one song out of the middle and they cut Numb Bears from the encore (comparing to sets from last week.)

Revel has just had a bad run. The place has a bad vibe hanging over its head. They spent WAAAAAY too much money building it. Its on the wrong side of town. They tried way too hard to market it as a destination and priced the middle class out of the place. It generally has an odd vibe.

Plus, it was a Sunday night. Other than July or August, there is very little happening in AC on a Sunday night. It's NOT Vegas!
