I hope this doesn't belong in the "other music" forum, there were so many Pearl Jam fans at these guys set as it is...anyway.

So I've never listened to Kings of Leon or My Morning Jacket before, and I'm curious if anyone "in the know" has the setlists for their performances at Lollapalooza. I may be interested in picking up some of their stuff...

And I didn't hate Lupe Fiasco, either.
AskPearlJam: PearlJama101-guest says: Who's idea was it for Eddie to play banjo on "Soon Forget"?
Eddie: I don't know whose idea it was but it was turned down.

Such a memorable night. Friends from Canada, we had so much fun with you guys and security guards Otto and big Mike! Fantastic set by the boys. Total PJ crowd, the other acts paled in comparison. Can you dig it? No I can't. Actually My Morning Jacket rocked. Chicago is such an awesome city to host this event. Well organized and solidly planned.

  • i thought lupe fiasco was awesome...kings of leon's set persuaded me to pick up a record of theirs, and MMJ kinda sucked IMO. i really wasnt feeling any of their songs and i couldnt help but laugh when their lead singer goes into that ridiculously high voice of his
Any new realizations would have to wait until he had more time. More time.
  • KOL won me over w a awesome set !!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was gettting into them, but never fully embraced them til the LOLLA set, crowd was awesome, it kicked ass .
& Eddie coming out was icing on the cake !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"no more crowbars to my head"
  • I agree with what everyone has been saying about these two bands. I have never heard of KOL prior to this show and I really think I'm gonna go pick up one of their cds today. I have seen MMJ when the opened for pearl jam in chicago of 06, I liked their music but their vocalist did kind of annoy me.

Does that look familiar to anyone?? That's pretty much the same exact performance from Lolla

Does anybody know where I can find audio from the Kings Of Leon set at Lollapalooza?

It will be up on trader's den after a couple weeks. These things take time. Until then, you can find virtually the same set list from a show in europe back in June. I think Ed came out for two songs during that show.

Huge thanks above on the setlists!

Both of these bands were two of what I would say were my top 5 of the weekend!
(the others you might ask, nned I say- PJ, Daft Punk, and LCD Soundsystem.

If you do the torrent thing, MMJ is on bt.etree.org and KOL is on thetradersden.org.

If you liked MMJ pick up the live cd and dvd they put out a while back, both called "OKONOKOS". Amazing shit, its like they are a different band live, when you listen to the records you will understand why.

KoL are great, but i feel like they don't bring all that much live. They are a good show, but they just don't bring that extra something to the live shows. Nothing wrong with that though. PJ, MMJ and KoL are my 3 fav bands currently. All really, really REALLY solid rock bands. I know some people dont get MMJ (which shocks me even after people see them live) but I love them.
