I got lucky and scored a pair. You??

    I got one and am going with colorsblend.

    I just told my boss that I needed Thursday off and he guessed it was for Pearl Jam ... lol. So he told me we were shorthanded because he's going on vacation next week too and I explained to him about the Vic show. He's a big music fan and said I don't care how shorthanded we are. You have to go to this concert and tell me all about it ... lol. Sometimes I really like my boss. :)

    I didn't have enough advance warning to work out a trip to Chicago, but I think it will be a great show.

    I'll say this, had I bought tickets to Lollapalooza (which I didn't) and made travel plans accordingly, I'd have been pretty upset/disappointed that they announced this basically one week before.
    The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

    Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

    that's really cool of him. I would need something like 3-4 days off to pull it off, so I desisted. Then there is also the matter of airfare... :p

    but I know, had I been anywhere in the US, I would have tried to get tix.

    Yeah, it was pretty cool of him. I was taking Friday already off for Lolla so that's part of the reason we're shorthanded. I definitely owe him a few beers next them I see him at happy hour.

    i am so excited about this show but too many people are upset on being shut out... some are reasonable about it... some are not ... i know i would be disappointed

    the porch is out of control

    i totally owe him big time for agreeing to let me try for these tix on the off chance that i actually got them to spend his 40th standing in line outside the vic all day

    I didn't even try. First...i probably couldn't have gotten the date off anyway...and second...can't afford the tickets right now anyway. It made my decision really easy...unfortunately. :o

    i tried with little to next to no expectations. tried for a while didn't get in and moved on. if i can get in great, if not, the world won't end despite what some of those threads on the porch seem to say.. congrats on getting in bostonlou, i'll be hanging out outside the venue that night.

    well i for one am very excited for all that are going. i dont understand why the 3 million people all tryin to get tickets yesterday thought they would get them.. but hey. im sure they rigged your ticket Lou.. .they just wanted to see what would happen if they threw you and Ed in a really small room together. make us proud back here in Boston.

    What really surprises me is that no one has thrown out the "Big, Bold, Beautiful and free card" that was thrown out at us after the last great meltdown on here of the Borgata debacle.

    All the vic titles are just overwhelming. This thread is no different than the 100 that are already on the Porch....where Pearl Jam is supposed to be discussed. I personally wish all Vic threads will get merged into one thread that lives on the Given to Fly forum.

    It is just probably a bad few days to be on The Pit. :)
