Nirvana Bootlegs

I was at a used bookstore today and saw some Nirvana bootlegs. I am a big fan but couldn't for the life of me figure out a value or if the recordings are any good. I picked up two just to take a gamble on (In Scope, and Basement Walls). I know they are bootlegs and are only worth what someone is willing to pay but with the vast knowledge that is out there in the ten community I thought someone would know something. They are $7.99 a piece and some are two discs. I know one is the last american show on double disc, the other is a collection of live stuff from Amsterdam and Seattle. The one that was intriguing was demos. Any help would be great!

Thanks for your time!

Cheers,
Alan

alot of bootlegs are made of pieces of different shows. I used to buy them back in the day (pre-internet), but I only download shows now.
  • Could you email me where you download? (I am sure this is safer than writing it on a board for all seeing eyes) Safe?

Most live shows are offered in lossless format: FLAC (and SHN for you long-time lossless users).

    Dimeadozen
    The Traders Den
    archive.org
    etree.org

Those are good sites to find what you're after.

Nice find. At $7.99 each you can't go wrong!

I rarely come across any Nirvana discs I don't already own.

Only $7.99? Each single unofficial bootleg (pre '98) I paid was around $25-30 bucks a pop!

I got a few Nirvana unofficial silver CD bootlegs from way back when.

    Trick Or Treat
    Heart Shaped Rome
I Hate Myself And I Want To Die
    The Eternal Legacy
    The First Night
    Wired
    Christmas In Seattle 1988
    Grunge Is Dead
    First American Concert
    Outcesticide Volume 5

Might have more around somewhere's but these are my favorite one's.

Many of those bootlegs are amazing in sound. Wired is by far my favorite one from their UK '89 show's.

And demonoid.me . Can't remember now but there used to be a dedicated website that had tons & tons of Nirvana bootlegs in Flac & SHN format using Megaupload. Wonder what happen to that site.
