NY radio lost a great one today. Pete Fornatale passed away after suffering a stroke a week ago, he was only 66. I grew up listening to Pete on WNEW in the 80's and then K-Rock in the 90's, and still listened to his "mixed bag" on The Loft on Sirius. I will miss his voice and his stories. :(

Sad to hear that. Fornatale wrote some good music books as well. All you Need is Love, Back to the Garden to name a few.

    R.I.P Pete Fornatale
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

He was finishing up a book for the Stones 50th anniversary "50 Licks", with his son. Hopefully they got most of it done before this happened.
I read Back to the Garden- which I really enjoyed. Never read All You Need is Love.
