Seattle (I don't mean Washington. That's why you won't see Nirvana, Screaming Trees, Star Anna & The Laughing Dogs and many others in my list.) bands or arists (including PJ) which have a prominent place in your music library. Mine are:

    I'm pretty sure Band Of Horses and Fleet Foxes are from Seattle.

    I'm pretty sure Band Of Horses and Fleet Foxes are from Seattle.

    Jimi Hendrix and Heart were/are from Seattle too. Although Heart first found success in Canada before the US.

    Very few of these bands are seattle bands if we're playing by the OP's rules, most are from surrounding suburbs.

    Currently located there, but they originated in the Seattle area I believe.

    I didn't realize until just now that Modest Mouse is from central washington. Always thought they were from metro-Seattle.

    Yep. I saw this guy (down left) who also plays guitar for Unnatural Helpers.

    Yep. I saw this guy (down left) who also plays guitar for Unnatural Helpers.

    Oh yeah, Unnatural Helpers are a great band too. I listen to Cracked Love & Other Drugs a lot and I saw them supporting Mudhoney a couple of years ago. It was more like a great double bill than a support act, both bands were on top form.

    A couple of oldies who are credited with founding the Seattle music scene even though they are from Tacoma, Washington which is about 20 miles or so from Seattle.
