On Tour June and July in Europe

August Off

Early September Tour somewhere in US (Ben Harper is also on tour in September. First show is September 4th...then next one is not until September 26....weird, huh?)

Close out with the two festivals

October Off

Eddie Tour in November

This is based on no actual information.

But the the three week window in Ben's tour aligns with the three week mini tours they have done recently.

Perhaps start with the Alpine Valley Show and end with the two fesitvals.

Ben's Tour is an aucoustic evening tour. Perpahs they will all engage in a "Strum the Guitar Softly Tour"
Hey brother.

  • I don't know man, I doubt it. It's looking like that dude from Deluna was right when he said PJ were only playing two shows in the US this year. Why would he say that unless someone from PJ management told him.

I personally think they are going to use the time between Europe/Soundgarden/ED solo etc. to record the new album and then tour the shit out of the US in 2013.

I agree with this. I also hope it's true. As much as a few shows in the states would be nice, I'd rather they save their energy for a bigger tour in 2013.
  • I was thinking Wrigley. Now, here me out...Springsteen plays Sept 7-8 and the Cubs don't return until the 14th. Cubs also are away Sept 3-6th. So, that leaves a lot of open dates to plan two concert acts. In the past, hasn't PJ played both Alpine and Chicago (United) during the same tour (show after the other show). Shoot, they could play both places.....but that's my greedy side!!!

    To sell tickets.
    Or because it's true.
In either case I really do think there will be more US dates.

They don't do huge tours anymore. Not sure why anyone would expect that to change in 2013.

Maybe not all at once. But I could see a big tour broken up into legs like 06.

I was thinking Alpine labor day weekend (Not a big PJ21 thing but just PJ) then opening for Bruce at Wrigley the next weekend.

Who is opening for Bruce? I have 2 tickets for the Friday show.

a fall "mini" tour would be nice, but i agree with the post about finishing the record & then, HOPEFULLY, a big U.S. tour covering most states, with time of in between legs. on metallica's last tour, they did two weeks on, two off & the band was happier. in the past they'd done the marathon tours & wound up burned out. we do have to take into account most of the pj has kids & wives now, are older & soundgarden will most likely tour behind their new album. whatever the case, if they do announce a tour this year, i'm there. i would rather have them wait until the next record is out, so we get new material. if they do go out, hopefully they'll do it a la 05 or 08 and throw rarities into the setlists. my new campaign is an e.p. for the fan club instead of a single! they did it in 95 & 01. 4 songs instead of two!!!

Yeah, but being on the road, non-stop, all year is like being on a huge tour. You have all the members doing solo/other project tours, Europe and Festivals. Throw an album in there too.

I just think it's silly if they decide to do a mini tour this year.

Pearl Jam doesn't do full blown tours anymore so to say they are holding out for next year is silly. I too think there will be more shows, its an election year.
