Thought this was kinda funny. lots of people here are pretty pissed about it though. :? I guess it is kinda disrespectful. I guess they need someone to keep us crazy Adelaidians under lock and key.

Okay, that's kind of bad - I mean, if she didn't care then she should have just chucked it out rather than letting it get into someone's hands to post on eBay just because that's kind of rude to the Mayor and citizens of Adelaide (charity or no charity). To be fair, though, why in the fuck would Cher give a crap about getting the Key to Adelaide?? Seriously, she probably forgot about it 5 seconds after it was presented to her.

Well that's very true, if it raise some funds for charity at least it's doing something productive.

Cher has been quite a philanthropist in her life. Something a lot of people don't know. She usually gets High 6-figure payouts for a single performance but has performed many nights for free to donate money to a lot of causes. I'm thinking that the actual key to Adelaide (that doesn't actually open anything) is just the token they gave her and it was the publicity of getting Cher to pose for a picture and smile with the mayor was a big deal.

And now they get get help a lot of people 22 years later...

They need to relax.
