If Obama gets reelected, I'm opening a guns and ammo store. Easy money.

“But guns don’t cause crime, guns stop crime. It’s our classic American heritage.”

    Truth be told.

Bummed California has so much regulation on what you can own, let alone carry. I make do with what I can within the constraints of the law though.

    Responsible gun ownership...woot

SO why is there so much crime (specifically gun crime) in the United States?

That crime becomes a lot more dangerous when guns are involved.

But Usa's quote said that guns stop crime. Is there evidence of this?

I would be willing to bet that thru out history guns have stoped a lot of crimes and even saved lives.
and crime is dangerous in it self and anything used by a bad guy to do his/her crime is dangerous..knives bat's battery cables rope ...just about anything that will tear flesh or smash bone or constrict an airway or has a sharp edge is dangerous in the hands of a bad guy.

Basically, criminals don’t usually buy the handguns used in crimes from area gun shops, they steal them. Registering handguns does little to solve crimes as well. Most handguns used in crimes that are registered have usually been reported stolen.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZCxArSF ... re=related been doing research
found this and really enjoyed his take on guns and gun control,
    always without mincing words,
this interview supports that in the article that says ...

“Try it before you make a decision, get educated on the issue. A gun is a tool, and when used inappropriately it is a terrible thing,” he added. “But guns don’t cause crime, guns stop crime. It’s our classic American heritage.”

It's an election year ... of this sitting President
history tells me the economy miraculously improves and somehow that is credited to them.
I hope in the spiral back down in the next four we don't hit rock bottom.

I don't think Obama has had anything to do with the slightly better economy,
    its time that heals,
but he gives a wonderful speech and is very charismatic....
    I like him.

I just don't see the parties being very different ...
both sides make for an economic roller coaster just with a different fuel.

you cant outrun a bullet. It doesnt require being within arms reach.

And yes all violence sucks. Some might be neccessary but doesnt make it suck less.

Then why even bring up being shot by a drunken neighbor... Just because they have a gun???
Responsible gun owners that have passed their CCP test know its against the law to be drinking and have your gun on you.
Your assuming that if someone is drunk and has a gun (in their home)they will use it.
    Why do you assume that?
Your the one stretching for it...

First off all, I live in a state where accidental shootings are rampant. Its scary. I dont know who is responsible and who isnt anymore, and neither do you. I was almost shot by a cop for godsake. So save your proper training/responsible gun owner shit for someone else.

And besides did you not see the idiocy in the picture? Was that picture not a joke? Was my response not a joke? See the little wink face? No need to get so defensive blockhead. Geesh, some of you gun owners are a bit, should I say...triggerhappy with your assumptions and fears?
