i'm not trying to sell anything - that's not the way i roll - but i was just wondering what some of you thought my pj20 poster (day 2) signed by brad klausen might be worth. it's not an artists proof. i had him sign it when he was at his booth at alpine. nice guy.

just curiosity not an attack but if you don't want to sell something why does it matter what it's worth?
I don't mean to offend anyone, a lot of what I say should be taken with a grain of salt... that said for most of you I'm a stranger on a computer on the other side of the world, don't give me that sort of power!

just curious. kinda like baseball cards when i was younger. i wanted to know their value, but i still have them in a box somewhere.
i check out ebay every now and then just to see what stuff is going for, but in this case it's a little different with the signature. i'm surprised i haven't seen any on ebay (maybe i don't check often enough), because there were quite a few people in line, some getting several posters signed. i'm can't believe bk signed more than one per person. it was obvious what those people were going to do with them.

not true, I was in the line for the museum at the time, the guy behind me went and got mine signed for me whilst I waited and kept his place in the very long queue

i guess there are exceptions, but the dude in front of me had about five of them signed. i find it hard to believe that at least one of those didn't find it's way on the market.

anyway, does anyone have an opinion on it's value? just $37.50? ;)

I'm going to give you my ballpark opinion and say probably around $150 if the poster is in near mint. Since it's not a "official" signed (i.e. signed / numbered) you're going to get a little premium for the sig, but probably not as much as if it were one of the numbered editions. I had an Ames night 2 that was signed (on the back) by the brothers at the booth. I got $120 for mine (sold it because I bought the variant). So that's my 2 cents anyways... hope it helps.

Signed on the back? Why did they do that?

Signed prints by the artists (even if it's not part of the signed & numbered edition) go for a little lower but not too low. If he doodled and added more to the print, I would say much more valuable in price then a s/n edition.

Ames said they'd sign on the back only at the booth (I'm guessing to not diminish the signed / numbered versions they were selling the next day). I agree completely if the sig is accompanied by any type of add'l artwork (doodles, enhancements to the print) that would add considerable value.

Nope........sorry buddy but its not obvious what they would do with them. I bought 9 of them and had BK sign all of them. I kept 3 2 for myself and 1 to trade which I did at pj20 for a tube. And the other 6 were.for some of my 10 club buddies that could not make the trip.

And to answer maket value would be around 100-150. Not worth much more if its signed. :D

Ames signed it on the back because they just wanted to be difficult. What there were 5 other artist ther with posters and they had no problem with signing the front. What a way to treat some poster fan who wants to frame a signed poster and didnt pay premium for a AP.

Perfectly reasonable question..everything has some sort of integral value and its human nature to wonder how much. Especially when you are part of a community like this where the values of posters and vinyl are an everyday subject.

As for my opinion, its a tough as I have proved to myself i have no idea about these things in the past!
I would say the 100-150 bucks mark sounds about right for something that is special like this.....

Stick on the wall and enjoy it.... that bit is priceless :)

i'm sure it will make it's way to a nice frame and a prime location on a wall one day, but i have more important things than frames that require my money. some day.
