I didn't think it could get much better then seeing Bad Brains for my first time back in DC on 4/20 at the brand new Howard Theatre. I'm 33, so I missed seeing them in their prime, but love their music and have always wanted to see them live even if they are now in their 50's. The Howard Theatre is amazing, instantly the best new live music venue in DC. The band was on point, and the crowd had some decent energy, but I can't get over HR's current state. He seamed mentally to be completely gone, didn't seam to know what the hell was going on at times, just standing completely motionless starring off into la la land. He stopped singing a couple times mid song, and would just walk over and sit down while the band continued. Really glad I got to see them, but kind of sad to see what HR is like these days.

I know EV is a huge Brains fans, and I think the DeLuna festival this year might be the first time they play on the same bill. Would be cool to see Ed step in and collaborate on something.

I've seen a million punk/rock shows, but I must be getting old - this show killed my ears it was so loud! But great, it was still great, and the audience was SO pumped!

How was their set at DeLuna, did anyone here post about it? I guess I should search it....
