The Record Store I went to didn't have the Eddie. The one that I know is going to have it for sure has a crazy line, and I had to be back home early.

    Nicely done!!! Which one did you go to - and which one is the one with the crazy line?

    I will be really pissed if the store near me opened early today! When I talked to the guy Thursday, he said that they didn't open until 10:00!!!

    I went to CD Source in Dallas. They opened at 7 AM. I got there at around 6:50 and there was a line, but it wasn't too bad. I went to Good Records last year and waited in line for almost 2 hours after they opened. I assumed it would be the same this year, so I didn't head out there. I'm going to check out the Movie Trading Company in Dallas at 10 when they open. They had some stuff last year that I couldn't find anywhere else.

    I got the Metallica EP and the Horrible Crowes at Fingerprints.

    I think the EV 7" was a US only release...would've loved to have that as it's two of my favorite songs, but I hope it'll surface online soon so I can at least listen to it.

    I went to two stores. one opened at 9:00 and the other opened at 9:30ish and they were within a few miles of each other. I did well. The first store didn't have any Eddie Vedder. The second store had one but of course it was gone :(

    argggh! you actually got DoYaThing-i only wanted that and flaming lips and mynah birds. Damn I didn't even think it would be available in Canada. I think there were only 500. Lucky. Did they have a lot?

    I totally forgot to look for Blitzen Trapper while I was there though.

    I was walking around and the owner of the store pulled me aside and said "I've got your copy of Eddie Vedder behind the counter". I was blown away! They only got 5 copies in stock and he was cool enough to hold me one. I know that kinda screwed somebody else out of getting one the fair way, but it made me so happy. I never asked him to hold it for me or anything but he knows I love PJ and he knew I'd be there today. It's reasons like that that I'm a customer of that store for life.

    There were 3 copies of flaming lips which i let another guy grab since i had a handful. Pretty sure there were two copies of Gorillaz. listening to it right now. weird its only an A side vinyl, nothing on the b-side

    All I got was Halves 'Live at the Unitarian Church', clear vinyl. It was the only thing they had, literally. I was there when they opened the box, 4 copies of it made it to the West of Ireland, absolutely NOTHING else. I had to buy it!

    So if anyone has the Sigur Ros 10" (UK) or album (US) and wants rid, give me a shout. Similarly, anyone who scored the Quadrophenia Demos (preferably the UK one) and doesn't need them, just PM. :)


    Oh, and the Halves album is fantastic, btw (so good, in fact, that I bought their first album when I came home) I was just a bit peed off at the lack of choice.

    The only thing I really wanted was the Tomahawk box and that was gone when I got to my local shop. I opted for some non record store day releases as they were 20% off. I walked out with:
