I am actually going to this fight tonight. The use of Present Tense for the closeout of the show was rather impressive.

  • not quite in its entirety, but i did think the way they edited the song worked well.

I usually don't get excited hearing PJ songs on shows but thought this was awesome considering it's my favorite song of theirs and I'm a huge UFC fan. Looking forward to a good fight tonight.

Yea man, I'm going to try and watch it tonight at a house that someone else paid for. If anything I'll watch some prelims for free on fx.

First, you must have forgotten about Anderson Silva and st. Pierre. Second, Evans fought a horrible fight. Horrible game plan. There was no way he could stand toe to toe with Jones and expect to win. Why not try and take it to the ground.?

Jones was the better fighter tonight. But there are a couple ahead of him for the title of best fighter in the world.

I have not forgotten about either one of them- I consider Jones to be better than both. GSP cannot finish fights anymore and takes way too long in between fights (even without injury). Anderson Silva is second in my opinion only because I feel Jones has fought tougher opponents recently and if Silva moved to light heavyweight again Jones would crush him.

Evans did try to take it to the groud and he got stuffed everytime he did. He should have went for a takedown much earlier on but lets not forget Jones is a great wrestler too and has barely ever been on his back in a fight. Nothing from that fight shows me that Evans would have a chance at beating Jones.
