Amazing that these six guys are still touring relentlessly in their late 50's and putting plenty younger bands to shame regarding the number of shows they undertake. There's 29 shows announced so far and others to follow worldwide so looks like another couple of busy years for them. They are playing a variation on the Seventh Son.... tour setlist with a few surprises! Anyone got their tickets yet? :)

Moonchild
The Evil That Men Do
The Prisoner
Still Life
Die With Your Boots On
Infinite Dreams
Killers
Can I Play With Madness
Heaven Can Wait
Wasted Years
The Clairvoyant
Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
The Number Of The Beast
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Iron Maiden.

I believe they are in the pipeline though. This is only one leg of a quite extensive tour program from what I hear.... :D

Arena dates please, stadiums are well and good but Maiden indoors is where it's at!

I'm seeing them in Newark on July 2...very much looking forward to it. This will be my 2nd Iron Maiden show. I also saw them in East Rutherford in 2008.

I hope they play the O2 in London again - they were great there a few months ago. Love that venue.

New live album is excellent too (En Vivo) - it's my current running soundtrack! :)

I just bought my 6 year old his first Iron Maiden CD. He's been wanting one that has Run to the Hills on it ever since he watched his brother play Guitar Hero.

Seeing them in Buffalo this summer. Such a great band live. If you've never seen them, they need to appear at the top of your bucket list.

I know a lot of Maiden fans and generally they all agree that they actually put on a better show now than they did during the 80's & 90's. Most bands have good qualities when they go on stage but you really know you've been to a show when you see Maiden, great musicians, epic songs, humour, theatrics, etc. I've seen them on tours going right back to 84' and they only disappointed once on the No Prayer For The Dying tour. I think a couple of band members had fallen out and they really weren't putting everything into it, it was a tense gig and only the encores were up to scratch. This tour will be great for those who weren't around in 88' and I'm sure it will be as successful as the Somewhere Back In Time tour a few years ago. I'd reccomend a Maiden show to anyone who hasn't seen them fan or not, if you enjoy a show they certainly give you one to remember.

Well a couple of shows in and here's the actual setlist played so far:

    Moonchild
    Can I Play With Madness
    The Prisoner
    2 Minutes to Midnight
    Afraid to Shoot Strangers
    The Trooper
    The Number of the Beast
    Phantom of the Opera
    Run to the Hills
    Wasted Years
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
    The Clairvoyant
    Fear of the Dark
    Iron Maiden

    Encore:
    Aces High
    The Evil That Men Do
    Running Free

    Missing from the 1988 setlist are;

    Still Life
    Die With Your Boots On
    Killers
    Infinite Dreams
    Heaven Can Wait
    Hallowed Be Thy Name... :shock
    :

    Replaced by:

    2 Minutes To Midnight
    The Trooper
    Afraid To Shoot Strangers
    Phantom Of The Opera
    Fear Of The Dark

Not sure why they insist on having FOTD, 2 Minutes and The Trooper on every tour setlist but they are good songs I guess and the show is apparently awesome. Three different Eddie's and multitudes of pyro. This is coming to Europe next year, hopefully not just for a few festivals. I've never seen an IM show minus Hallowed Be Thy Name ever!! I don't think it has been left out since it's first inclusion in 1982!! Will definately try and catch this tour for a show in the UK/Ireland.

Still waiting for news of Euro shows next year but if Mrs. Veddertown has her way it'll be Kiss/Motley Crue... :?

Hope you get a great show tonight, the stage show looks top notch and I guess the setlist is ok but no Hallowed Be Thy Name is a criminal offence!! I really expected Infinite Dreams and Still Life and had my fingers crossed that Can I Play With Madness would get ignored as I think it's a truly awful song. Never mind, it'll still be entertaining! :D

I am tempted to see them in Irvine, but getting down there on a weeknight is a huge effort...60 miles in rush hour traffic, then waiting 30 minutes to get off the freeway, and getting into spats with people who try to cut into the exit lane!

It seems someone has decided the best way to announce this tour is one date at a time, very slowly! Stockholm sold out lightning fast so I guess that's the idea. Get the tickets sold and then announce the next show...

I was at the Chicago Iron Maiden concert for the Maiden England tour. It was during that heat wave when it happened, and it was still around 95F when their concert started. Alice Cooper was the opener, and he was very good as the opener. Iron Maiden was very good, they played their set as advertised from previous shows. I had a great time and there were between 12,000 to 14,000 fans in attendance. Viva Iron Maiden.
