I was offered $4,000 for my two tickets and turned it down. Best move I ever made.

Show review:
Holy Shi@!!!! SECOND ROW DEAD CENTER in front of Eddie!!! 4 g's can't buy the fuc#ing fun I had tonight!! I am physically drained...didn't stop bouncing for more than a few seconds to catch my breath. Met the coolest people sitting around me, Josh, Greg and Lisa to name a few. So I decided that I only get this chance once in a lifetime and I had to make a sign up for the show. So before the show I make up two signs one for me and one for my buddy. They read...."We turned down $4,000 for these seats" and "Best move we ever made!" So we wait for the right moment to hold them up and during Porch, Eddie holds his guitar over his head and shines the spot light around the crowd. As he's drawing the light closer to us, I tell my buddy to hold up our signs and Eddie is doing a quick sweep of the front rows and stops....and shines the light on our signs and reads them!!! He breaks into a laugh to himself!!!...and continues on with the spotlight, how fuc#ing cool!!! So I kinda skipped some stuff up to that point, like the amazing setlist! Open with Hard to Imagine (favorite song from Lost Dogs), Faithful, Evolution (floor was bouncing on that one and the band felt it!) Love, Reign O'er Me, I Believe in Miracles!!! Proch, Alive, and ending with Indifference! Stand out moment of the night...during Alive, Eddie moves to the side stage while Mike is soloing, where his significant other and her friend are hanging out, thing is though that her friend had Eddie's daughter on her shoulders and she is going bonkers tapping her head to the rythym....so Eddie gets over there and his daughter looks up and sees Eddie and gets the biggest smile on her face and yells "Daddy!!!".........priceless.. .....just beautiful......

So toward the end of Watchtower, Eddie is just dancing in front of us and I hold the sign up again and he reads it once more and pumps his fist to his chest and points at us!! Stone also reads the sign and smiles and waves to us!!!! ........I even managed to score a pick from Stone's roadie after the show.

For those who would have taken the money....fuc# off!! Life's about the memories and living not selling out. Sit in your house and count your money while I'm rockin' out 2nd row with the greatest band EVER!! With some of the greatest fans ever!!

Tonight I lived....and I don't regret anything! PJ rocks!!!

I am glad someone else thinks this - last night's energy was outstanding and the best yet no doubt- however, Camden 1 is still #1 in my heart. I loved that show to pieces!!!!!!!!!!

As much as a love PJ, I think $4K would be about when I would make a compromise .. . . but I'm glad you lucked out and got great seats. Sounds like it was a heck of a show!

You are an idiot. I wouldn't pay $4000 if John Lennon and George Harrison came back to life and the Beatles played a show and I had the opportunity to buy front row center seats.

I would have taken the money and enjoyed every second I was in the lawn.

You guys were awesome for not taking the money. Your signs were fantastic. I loved when Ed laughed at them.
My seat mate and I were just in front and slightly to the right of you. Every time I looked back, you were rocking out HARD and had the BEST smiles on your faces.
    That is PRICELESS. :)
A lot of these shows are made by the band feeding off of the energy of the fans. Many of my personal experiences at shows have been made 10 times better by the enthusiasm of those around me. I thank you for not taking the money. Your energy was a huge asset to the show.

Besides, the band did something really great with this whole lottery thing. I don't want people BUYING that away. It's much cooler to be surrounded by the lucky ones.

    Hail, Hail! :D

Why is he an idiot? He didn't pay $4k. he was offered 4k. big difference. and even if he took the money, who knows? it could've been counterfeit, it could've been a cop trying to bust scalpers. They could've kicked him in the nuts and taken the tickets as soon as he showed them to the buyer. They could've waited for him outside of the garden and jumped him.

Just wanted to say Hi! I met you last night and good for you that you did this! I love that you made the sign. It sounds like the band really appreciated it. Money is paper, but the front row experience is priceless and I love that more people are getting a chance to have it.

I was to the right of you by sec 70 first row and saw your signs. I saw the whole thing w/Eddie's daughter too on some woman's shoulders lol. I loved seeing all the kids with the headphones on. Did you see when he was giving out the wine and gave some woman a 1/4 filled bottle?

I was curious how many people got offered boat loads of cash for their 10c tix. I got offered 1000 for my two...and turned it down of course. Greatest part of all of this was that the scalpers were trying to BUY tickets right up until show time..instead of selling them. I have no doubt that the scalpers were out that night selling and making money, but it was a great sign that Pearl Jam is doing something right ticket wise when the scalpers cant get their hands on the good ones.

1000 bucks would have paid for my trip to NYC and then some, but it was more than worth turning it down. Shout out to eveyone in section 9 who rocked out the whole show. And special thanks to the dude from Allentown, PA who gave me a couple of fan made DVDs from the 2006 tour...just because. Awesome experience!

I was also offered $4000 for my tix for night 1 and turned it down. I had 5th row center seats. I actually didn't think twice about it. He started at $1000 and kept going. The money would be nice, I could definitely use it but I love the band too much. Material objects you can't take to the grave but a PJ memory you can!

This thread just makes me really proud of Pearl Jam fans, and that good tickets are going into the hands of the right people who value what they got!
