    i love them as well. had the pleasure of meeting them twice. sweet girls with even sweeter voices. we discussed them here not too long ago.

    that was last night and it was great. i'm sure you could watch it online somewhere. they played emmylou. you could tell conan was really impressed. kind of reminded me of how he reacted back in 2003 when he had my morning jacket on and they slayed one big holiday.

    My bad, I just saw the FB announcement and assumed it was for tonight.
    I'll have to go check it out.

    the album will be on alot of best of 2012 lists i think.

    crazy to think it all started on youtube. i think it was 2008 or 2007, i remember reading blogs and stuff, stereogum and they were buzzing about these 2 unknown swedish girls who covered a fleet foxes song, "tiger mountain pleasant", out in the woods near their house. they werent first aid kit then. they were just two sisters obsessed with the fleet foxes. Insane to think its all taken off from there. That day they got a message from Robin of Fleet Foxes, and the rest is history. Oh and I remember them saying Bright Eyes was a formative musician in their lives, kind of changed their lives. and of course the last tour Conor invited them on stage to sing Lua, and Mike Mogis produced their new album.

    I like their style. You can really picture them in the late 60's, early 70's, along with Joni, and Neil, and all those folks.

    Yes, I'll be there. I didnt know it was gonna be standing room. I have never been in that theater but I assumed it was an old theater with seats throughout.

    i can't imagine anyone invading your space at a first aid kit concert. no worries. enjoy the show. what is this concert by the way? is it part of the folk festival? conor oberst and first aid kit? surprised i didn't hear about this show, although it's too far for me to attend anyway.

    It was just announced a couple days ago. It was prob just a last minute idea that the bands put together to play because they were all going to be in town for the Folk Festival that weekend. This concert is on Friday night.
