This is a Canadian band that rocked my socks off when they opened for Juliette Lewis. I had never heard of them before, but they stole the show. While I was watching them, something familiar struck me about the band's singer/bassist. I couldn't put my finger on it. Then I realized when I bought their cd at the show looking at the liner notes when I got home-it was Rob Higgins. The guy who was in a band for one album with Danny Greaves of the Watchmen. They were called Doctor, and their album was called High Is As High Gets. It was The Watchmen with an edge, heavier, which is exactly what I was looking for at the time.

They had a falling out and split up, and Rob started this band. Holy shit are they awesome. Hawk vs Pigeon is their third album. They are touring Canada with Die Mannequin in May. Can't wait to see them again.
