A recent poll discovered that a growing number of 16 yr olds are not getting their drivers license. Not because they can't pass the test, but.because they simply don't want to. Doesn't that seem silly? Or lazy? Or too IPhone/Ipad dependant?

My sister in law is 21, lives at home, and still doesn't have her license, because she is fucking lazy... and dependent.

I can't imagine anyone not wanting to drive a car the first chance they can get.

You know, I can see not going for it, if there's not a valid need (various alternatives of transportation, etc.) and if there aren't other priorities as previously mentioned.

Me, I put off driving as long as I could because at that age - 16, 17 - I was just...fucking scared...of driving. Of accidents. Of other people's stupidity. Of my own stupidity.

Even now, I still have dreams of being on the road and plunging, or of it being too dark out and not being able to see.

There are many reasons for delaying obtaining a license, or not getting one altogether. And as long as one isn't looking to others to unnecessarily provide for them, s'ok by me.
