Dave Coutts. You know, that guy that replaced Scott Weiland in STP while he was in jail and they renamed it Talk Show? He can handle Weiland's duties really well. Whatever happened to that guy?

I kept searching Duncan Coutts but only got results for the OLP bassist. Finally did a wikipedia search of Talk Show, and it's DAVE Coutts (confusing, eh?). The last reference to him there is "Talk Show disbanded in early 1998." So I'm guessing he's available if he got a call.

    Myles Kennedy?

I don't think he'd fit. He has alot of ability, but he's too over the top for the stuff they've done so far. I think they need a more mid range-y singer.

I liked the idea of Corey Taylor, but could see where it wouldn't work.

Perhaps it is Myles Kennedy, I don't know... thanks for answering...

btw, if Matt can play drums both in PJ and SG, why can't Scott sing in both STP and VR?

Because Matt's not a drug addict.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

I'd say Myles, saw him with Alter Bridge at this years Soundwave and He was actually pretty good as long as he doesn't do the screechy Axl thing. Never understood that? NO SCREECHING!

  • Ian Thornley recently admitted to being close to accepting the job, but they wanted him to lose the guitar. He said he's not a swagger guy, he'd feel odd without a guitar in front of him, so he declined to go any further in the process. I think that's good anyway. His style (vocal and writing) wouldn't have really fit the Weiland VR, unless they were planning on going in a completely different direction.

I still say Hugh Dillon would have been a fucking awesome choice. Maybe I'm biased.
