    Anybody have any thoughts on this below?? This was written in Jan. 2011 and I have yet another plumber scheduled to arrive any moment... 8am sharp! 3 years later. I told her that her brain was leaking - I got
    a phone call from my landlord informing me (as a heads up) that she called NYPD on me, and told them I wrote she's crazy in an email... I've been playing Norweigian black metal music and waking my dog up to this recording of himself barking that I made just for her... Time to step it up a notch! Luckily I found a thread for this while I wait for plumber #47 to come and also "ignore her"... People need a hobby badly!

    So sorry, Nikki - seems that I left you off before :( and I also have removed David now, too :(

    I just wanted to follow up again, as I've been having a bunch of problems again with my apartment, and have gotten little to no response from the office. It doesn't seem like forming a tenant association is a popular idea right now, so we can table that, but any suggestions for getting stuff accomplished is helpful!

    My current issues are three:

    1) my fridge doesn't work (I've been in touch with them for a year about this, and sort of gave up last winter -- when it's colder out, it's less of a problem; it's currently holding steady at 55 degrees, despite being turned all the way up, and is supposed to be somewhere between 37 and 41). food keeps going bad, and i can't get a straight answer from the office about what will happen. the last i heard, the office manager said that the landlord said they have a lot going on, and can only do one thing at a time. in the meantime, i can't keep food in the house. i'm out of ideas..

    2) leaks. i have several, and as some of you know, have had mushrooms growing in my bathroom. a plumber came by last week, and said the bathroom problem needs to be repaired by a general contractor, and the leak in my sink can be fixed at a future date. There's no plan to fix either, and I can't get a straight answer about that, either.

    3) ivy from the backyard is creeping up the side of the building from our landlord's garden, and quickly starting to cover one of my windows entirely I now also have an ant colony in my window as a result, I assume it's from the ivy...

    So again, any ideas for how to get through/how to deal with repairs when there's no response -- I'm all ears! Thanks, and let's schedule another pot luck soon when people can actually make it.
