Am I overanalyzing this?

Ok, so the Afghan Whigs posted this picture on their Facebook page earlier today:



They didn't leave any comment or anything about the picture, just the picture.

We've got a black cat and a Cincinnati Reds hat. The black cat is bad luck (apparently leaving a hat on a bed is as well?) and a Cincinnati hat which is their hometown, and where I live as well.

A couple hours later I was going through Twitter and the Bunbury Music Festival, a new festival in Cincinnati this Summer, said that they were announcing 20 more bands tomorrow at 5pm.

So.... a black cat, a hat on the bed, bad luck, music festival announcement tomorrow which is Friday the 13th, and a Cincinnati hat which is where the festival is. That all lines up pretty well right?

Once I put this all together I went on Twitter and posted:

I'm going on record saying that @bunburyfestival is going to announce that @theafghanwhigs are playing. You heard it here first!

5 minutes later I got an email saying that @theafghanwhigs are now following me on Twitter.

I got it all figured out right?!?! I'm getting a hometown Whigs show

well, looking at the currently announced line-up, The Afghan Whigs will not be headlining. I REALLY hope they are not just doing festivals. I need a club tour, damn it!

yes you are, but it was really funny to read it, I hope you get free tickets, you deserve to get them...

Well looks like I sure did over analyze it. They made the announcement for the festival and the Whigs were nowhere on the list :( I really thought I had this one figured out.
