Just wondering if Eddie has ever done an acoustic version of this song at one of his solo shows. I was listening to the Benny version today, and marveling at the beauty of it. I think a version with just Ed and acoustic guitar would be absolutely breathtaking. :D

    Yep, he played it on his solo tour last year in St. Louis. Amazing!

    Wish I had been in St. Louis to hear that! I think he also did "Thumbing" in St. Louis, which I would love to hear live someday. I'll bet that St. Louis show was something special, but then again, aren't all Ed's solo shows?? :D

    I was at the Philly show last year, and it was one of the most magical nights of my life!!

    I will cherish that show for awhile...i was there too in st louie w/ my son...
    ed also played my sons fav tune "i am mine"...

    back to the immortality....ed nailed it...especially the lyrics...thank goodness...

    since i listen to thier boots non stop...ed messes up the lyrics to immortality way more times in the last 10 years than he gets them correct....the songs always killer though an i so glad they keep it in rotation...
